HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY

Jetton Construction has grown from a sole proprietorship, established in Mendocino in 1980, to an award-winning Bay Area construction firm. Between 1976 and 1981 Founder Bill Jetton worked on various projects from vintage barn restoration and water towers to a 250 foot suspension bridge.  Bill was a guiding force with cutting edge systems of photovoltaic, solar hot water, electric wind power for water pumping as well as  small scale hydroelectric systems.  As part of the Bay Area Construction Brigade, Bill joined in the construction of  housing and a hydroelectric system for a coffee and dairy collective in Nicaragua.  In 1983, Jetton Construction moved to Berkeley and began its focus on remodeling and new construction for the Bay Area.

The founding principles have remained the same: to provide sustainable building practices, excellent craft, and caring service at good value. The philosophy at Jetton Construction has attracted and kept talented employees and subcontractors working together for many years. With more than 400 significant projects completed, Jetton Construction has extensive knowledge and a deep understanding of all facets of construction. We have gained a reputation for consistently producing outstanding work for a very diverse client base.  Many of our clients are repeat customers.
