WE ARE AN AWARD-WINNING BAY AREA CONSTRUCTION FIRM PROVIDING SUSTAINABLE BUILDING PRACTICES, EXCELLENT CRAFT AND CARING SERVICE SINCE 1980.

WITH MORE THAN 500 SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS completed over the last four decades, we have extensive knowledge and a deep understanding of all facets of construction. Whether we are restoring a historically significant home or building a new contemporary space, our staff, subcontractors, and artisans bring exacting standards and innovative solutions. We can help guide the selection of the best environmentally sound building practices and products for homes of any vernacular.

We help clients and design teams smoothly navigate the complicated decision and timeline challenges inherent in a whole house renovation or new home so that they can enjoy the process as much as the final product.

Our reputation for consistently producing outstanding work and treating our relationships with the utmost care has allowed us to work almost exclusively on referral and build a client base of life-long customers.

We take pride in our craft and in our teamwork. We will take care of you and your home throughout the building process and make sure your construction project is a creative and rewarding event.

Leadership

Bill Jetton
Founder

Bill left rural Texas for California in 1975 and began apprenticing with a master builder in Mendocino. All of his initial pursuits were off-grid, including traditional water towers, a 250 ft. pedestrian suspension bridge, and small-scale alternative energy systems. In 1985 as part of the Bay Area Construction Brigade, Bill helped construct housing and a hydroelectric system for a coffee and dairy collective in Nicaragua. In the mid-1980s Jetton Construction moved from Mendocino to Berkeley, beginning 40+ years of service and craft in the Bay Area.

Robert Lee
Principal

Robert has over 25 years of hands-on management experience in the custom residential remodeling field. Sustainability, quality, professionalism, beauty, function, and value are his guiding principles. Growing up in a family of graphic designers and engineers, he developed an eye for the deeper sense of order that only great building and design can provide. Outside of work he enjoys playing music with his band, advocating for housing and public transportation, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two teenage sons.

Michael Van Lokeren
Principal

Michael brings over two decades of experience in custom residential construction. He is pleased to work in a uniquely rewarding field where the artistry of architectural design meets the functional beauty of a well-built home. Michael earned his BA from Middlebury College in French and Spanish, studied Construction Management at UCLA, and is a LEED AP. When he’s not pouring through plans and details, Michael enjoys playing alongside his wife on their soccer team and spending time with their two daughters.
